Opportunity Description
The Logistics Ocean Import/Export Sales Representative will gain business and effectively develop the logistics business of clients.
Job Duties
· Execute the companies sales profit goals and follow the team leader’s guidelines.
- Develop and manage Sales volume.
- Achieve satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards, industry, and economic trends, and sales and margin goals.
- Day-to-day Cold calls; making quotations to clients; Sales call with clients.
- Weekly Sales reports.
- Business Traveling is required.
- Act as a liaison between the customers and operations staff.
- Manage sourcing of customers. Build: Expand and maintain relationships with customers and assist and direct team members in sourcing and growing customer base.
- Maintenance of current customers: Including analysis of current lanes to assure we are competitive and also providing excellent service. Also, soliciting for other business from customers.
- Determine current rates in the marketplace offered by competitors.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data in our freight system and other programs as needed.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is accurate and timely.
- Developing goals for specialized sales (Ocean/Air import & export; Drayage; Domestic transportation; warehousing & distribution; brokerage, etc.).
- After hours work may occur from time to time, based on the location of your customers.
Experience:
· 3 yrs Experience with Ocean Import/Export Sales (freight forwarder) in transportation and logistics industries
- Sales experience with success in the cold-calling environment.
- Proven record of growing business and starting new accounts.
- Ability to make quick, smart business decisions.
- Outstanding organizational skills, excellent time management skills, ability to multi task.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,683.00 - $81,225.00 per year
