Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial transactions related capital projects through Oracle Projects module
- Engage project stakeholders and perform a thorough review of all requisitions ensure appropriate capitalization in accordance with GAAP and Company policy
- Interact with various departments to obtain a general understanding of all major capital projects and CIP and determine proper capitalization of long-term projects to ensure projects are viable and begin depreciation expense when placed in service
- Prepare and present budget to actual analysis to various project stakeholders
- Collaborate with program and project managers to address budgetary discrepancies or issues
- Monitor capital projects and ensure proper cost accumulation and timely completion; ensure depreciation begins when assets are placed in services
- Prepare and present project tracking statuses quarterly
- Maintain compliance with internal controls over project accounting
- Work directly with external auditors as needed and in a timely manner and provide all required support
- Identify, propose, and help implement process improvements
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required in lieu of degree, 5 years of related experience.
- 6 years of experience in related field, of those, 5 years of relevant experience of full cycle accounting experience is required
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Strong computer skills with competent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel software applications
- Experience with Oracle Fusion is a plus
- CPA preferred
- Ability to multi-task effectively without compromising the quality of the work
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

- Knowledge of ASC 350-40 Internal-Use Software
- Ability to draw conclusions and make independent decisions with limited information

- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively and present information, both verbally and in writing, to management, clients and co-workers
