Job Type : Full Time (12 months)
Location : North Charleston, SC
Schedule : Variable shifts, must be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift.
Pay Rate : 25.48 - 26.82
Job Description Summary :
The Aerospace Assembler will perform routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories using manual operations. This role requires adherence to safety standards, precise execution of assembly processes, and the ability to work effectively in a variable shift environment.
Position Responsibilities :
Execute routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems using manual tools.
Utilize experience in aircraft structural parts fabrication, assembly processes, and procedures.
Operate conventional lathe, milling, precision measuring, power, pneumatic, and hand tools as required.
Utilize software applications for internet navigation, email, and Microsoft Suite, or other specialized computer applications.
Follow detailed work instructions, read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or specifications to ensure accurate assembly.
Maintain high standards of safety and compliance with regulations.
Lift and carry objects weighing up to 10-35 pounds as part of daily duties.
Work with high hazard chemicals as needed.
Perform tasks requiring flexion / extension, handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching overhead, rotation of head / neck, standing, twisting at the waist, and walking.
Engage in climbing / balancing on stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, and inclined surfaces, as well as crawling and crouching.
Demonstrate proficiency in drilling, reaming, filling, removing and installing fasteners, shimming, accurate measurement, and documentation of data.
Operate high impact vibratory tools for tasks such as bucking and riveting.
Communicate effectively and maintain a strong work ethic to ensure completion of assigned tasks with urgency.
Required Qualifications :
High School diploma / GED
Ability to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd)
Experience in aerospace manufacturing or related field
Familiarity with safety protocols and compliance in an industrial setting
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all established protocols
Willingness to learn and adapt to changing job requirements and environments

Pay Details : 25.48 to 26.82 per hour
