About the Role :
As a Design Technician , you’ll play a vital role in preparing construction-ready design drawings and coordinating various aspects of interior and construction-related projects . Working closely with engineers and project teams, you will ensure designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop detailed design drawings using AutoCAD, GIS tools, maps, and reports.
Maintain the Smallworld database , including Schematic and Field Installation Records (FIR) .
Assist senior designers to ensure drawings comply with industry and safety standards .
Integrate engineering and geographic data to produce precise designs.
Conduct engineering calculations for distribution system designs.
Submit permit requests to municipalities and governmental agencies.
Coordinate with teams for equipment inspections, surveys, and easement acquisitions .
Perform field checks to verify the accuracy of maps and designs.
Support GIS applications and mapping procedures .
Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance project efficiency.
Qualifications : Required :
Experience in CAD, GIS, Design Technician, or Engineering Technician roles.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (preferred).
Familiarity with GIS systems and distribution design processes .
Understanding of engineering calculations for distribution designs.
Highly detail-oriented, organized , and skilled at managing multiple tasks.
Preferred :
Experience in the energy or utilities sector .
Knowledge of SRP design, construction, and maintenance standards .
Familiarity with the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) .

Pay Details : 29.50 per hour
