Position Overview:
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in San Fernando, CA. This role is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems, including engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work with a commitment to workplace safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment, including 120V and 480V connections.
Perform preventive maintenance on production and building equipment.
Dismantle, examine, and replace defective parts, ensuring proper function and longevity.
Install and adjust functional and structural components of machinery.
Operate metalworking tools, including lathe, drill press, and grinders, to fabricate and repair parts.
Lubricate and clean machine parts to optimize performance.
Run and connect electrical wiring for various voltage systems.
Conduct facility inspections and provide reports on conditions, recommending necessary repairs.
Maintain accurate preventive maintenance records and initiate purchase orders for replacement parts and equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company protocols.
Support additional building and maintenance activities as required.
Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree or technical certification in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
Certified in 480V 3-Phase electrical work down to 5VDC.
Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work.
Proficiency in using power tools and industrial equipment for maintenance and repair tasks.
Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple maintenance tasks with strict deadlines.
Clear communication skills for reporting issues and coordinating repairs with supervisors.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Frequent exposure to wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, and vibrations.
Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, extreme temperatures, and electrical hazards.
Loud noise levels in the work environment.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs, frequently lift up to 25 lbs, and regularly lift up to 10 lbs.
Requires standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
Strong vision capabilities, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay Details: 35.00 per week
