Materials Specialist – Join a Leading Freight Industry Team!
Location : On-Site – Minneapolis, MN
Job Type : Temporary (Full-Time)
Pay Rate : 20 / hr
Shifts : Training (7 AM – 3 PM, Mon-Fri) | Regular Shift (3 PM – 11 PM, Mon-Fri, with weekend OT as needed)

What You’ll Do :
Inventory Control & Management – Track, manage, and distribute materials in a 24 / 7 shop environment.
Stock Handling – Pull materials from the warehouse, ensuring accurate documentation for locomotives.
Cycle Counts & Forecasting – Perform daily audits, correct discrepancies, and anticipate material needs.
Shipping & Logistics Coordination – Arrange LTL and expedited shipments, ensuring correct paperwork and customs documentation.
Order Processing & Quality Control – Verify inbound / outbound shipments, process transactions in Oracle, and oversee warranty claims.
Data & Reporting – Compile reports on inventory metrics, sales transactions, and stock levels.
Material Distribution – Support multiple shop locations, ensuring efficient transfer and usage of materials.
Warehouse Operations & Housekeeping – Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance.
Safety First – Operate forklifts, follow PPE requirements, and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
What You Bring to the Team :
High School Diploma / GED or 2 Years of Relevant Experience
Previous Logistics, Shipping / Receiving, or Warehouse Experience
Forklift Certification or Safe Operating Experience
Strong Attention to Detail & Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment
Willingness to Work Flexible Schedules, Including Overtime & Weekends
Proficiency in Basic Math & Computer Systems (Oracle Preferred)
Ability to Stand, Walk, Lift up to 50 lbs. Regularly (Up to 75 lbs. Occasionally)
Work Environment & Physical Demands :
Warehouse & Shop Floor Setting – Be prepared for a hands-on, active work environment.
Frequent Walking & Standing – Including stairs, uneven surfaces, and tight spaces when necessary.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Required – Hardhat, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection.

Pay Details : 20.00 per hour
