General Function
- Assist in analyzing facility requirements, resolving facility issues, and submitting work requests to Civil Engineering (CE) as needed.
- Prioritize tasks in alignment with the priorities set by the Government Facility Manager (RPBM) and follow policies outlined in TAFBI 32-9001, Facility Management Guidelines.
- Perform minor repairs, improvements, and maintenance as authorized by the Facility Manager and initiate Self-Help requests for work within the scope of the contractor's responsibilities.
- Ensure assigned facility areas, including surrounding grounds within 50 feet, are kept clean and free of litter as per TAFBI 32-9001.
- Assist in the development and tracking of facility and furniture maintenance budgets, identifying out-of-cycle budget requirements, and resolving financial issues with relevant management teams.
- Help plan and coordinate facility-related projects, such as seat management, carpet cleaning/replacement, window washing, signage placement, and office refurbishments.
- Support the Government Facility Manager with the oversight of office furniture installations, relocations, and reconfigurations.
- Submit, follow-up, and track all requests for moving/transporting items within the facility, and provide status updates on office installations and reconfigurations.
- Assist in the development of Continuity of Operations (COOP) plans, providing facility-related information to recover from environmental and man-made disruptions (fire, flood, sabotage, etc.).
- Help with the distribution of supplies and equipment, including inventory management and notifying organizations of deliveries or material pick-up.
- Maintain a current document library for warranties, instructions, and specifications for facility-related equipment.
- Monitor energy usage within the facility and actively promote energy conservation practices in alignment with TAFBI 32-9001 policies.
- Collaborate with the organization’s energy manager to implement energy conservation measures.
- Assist the Government Facility Manager in ensuring that environmental protection practices are adhered to in accordance with TAFBI 32-9001 guidelines.
- Support the establishment of building security procedures, including the control and issuance of building and office keys, and ensure key accountability as per TAFBI 32-9001.
- Ensure all keys for the facility are duplicated only by the authorized office (72 ABW/CECOL) and maintain security protocols for the building.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- MA Degree and at least 10 years of experience in the related field, 5 of which must be with the DoD, OR, BA Degree and at least 12 years of experience related to the position requirements, 5 of which must be with the DoD, OR, 15 years of directly related experience, 8 of which must be with the DoD.
- Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret Level.
- Must be able to perform functional duties independently.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs (including Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
