General Function
- Apply qualitative and quantitative techniques to assess the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition programs.
- Analyze and measure program schedule and cost baselines, recommending solutions to ensure projects stay on track.
- Communicate effectively, providing quality acquisition documentation such as briefings, reports, and plans.
- Assess system acquisition requirements for development, production, and deployment of weapon systems and associated equipment.
- Formulate and recommend effective strategies to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives.
- Support the development of acquisition reports, including statutory reports such as Defense Acquisition Executive Summary (DAES) and Monthly Activity Reports (MARs).
- Assist with program management reviews, senior-level meetings, and Integrated Master Plan (IMP)/Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) reviews.
- Support and develop program status briefings and acquisition task schedules for senior management.
- Conduct program/project analysis and present assessments to senior leadership, recommending improvements to the Government POC.
- Assist the Program Manager (PM) and acquisition team in planning and organizing program management activities.
- Interface and coordinate with various USG organizations, including headquarters, major commands, and external agencies.
- Support the resolution of programmatic issues by interfacing with Air Staff, Air Force Major Command, and DoD personnel.
- Develop and maintain key program metrics, assist in risk management planning, and contribute to program briefings.
- Utilize Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to track program health and status and report on program progress.
- Ensure compliance with DoDI 5000.02 and DoDI 5000.75 regarding systems acquisition and program management practices.
- Perform administrative duties as needed and maintain professional relationships with team members and clients.
- Regularly check and manage company email to ensure timely communication and response.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- MA Degree and at least 10 years of experience in the related field, 5 of which must be with the DoD, OR, BA Degree and at least 12 years of experience related to the position requirements, 5 of which must be with the DoD, OR, 15 years of directly related experience, 8 of which must be with the DoD.
- Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret Level.
- Must be able to perform functional duties independently.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs (including Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
