Role Overview
This Diesel Mechanic role is a critical part of our Open Cut Maintenance team, responsible for ensuring the safe operation of our equipment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel-powered equipment, including inspections, repairs, and lubrication.
- Support and champion Peabody's Mission and Values.
- Act in accordance with and adhere to Safety as a Way of Life Management System.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals and deadlines.
- Conduct safety observations and complete safety interactions monthly.
Requirements
- Minimum three (3) years of mining-related or industrial experience working on large rope shovels and draglines.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair and maintenance procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to obtain pit driving license at all locations.
