Job Overview
The Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing outreach initiatives aimed at increasing community awareness of substance use disorders and available treatment options at Peace and Harmony House. This position will engage with individuals, families, and community organizations to promote access to outpatient services for those affected by drug and alcohol misuse.
Duties
1. Outreach and Engagement:
o Develop and implement outreach strategies to educate the community about substance use disorders and available outpatient treatment services that Peace and Harmony House provides.
o Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders, including schools, healthcare providers, and local organizations.
o Conduct presentations, workshops, and informational sessions to raise awareness and reduce stigma around substance use issues.
2. Client Support and Referral:
o Assist individuals seeking help with drug and alcohol issues by providing information about treatment options and available resources that Peace and Harmony House offers.
o Work collaboratively with clinical staff to ensure seamless referrals for individuals needing outpatient services.
o Follow up with referred clients to assess their engagement and satisfaction with the services received.
3. Program Development:
o Identify community needs and gaps in services related to substance use treatment and prevention.
o Collaborate with the Program Director to design and implement new programs or initiatives based on community needs and best practices.
o Assist in the development of marketing materials and digital content promoting services, for example Facebook, Instagram, and website.
4. Data Collection and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, community partnerships, and client referrals.
o Prepare reports on outreach efforts, program effectiveness, and community trends in substance use for internal and external stakeholders.
5. Training and Supervision:
o Provide training and resources for staff and volunteers involved in outreach activities.
o Supervise outreach interns or volunteers, providing guidance and support in their roles.
Experience
- · Associate’s degree in social work, Psychology, Public Health, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
· Demonstrated experience in outreach, community organizing, or public health initiatives, with a focus on substance use and mental health.
· Knowledge of substance use disorders, treatment options, and recovery resources.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage in diverse populations.
· Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and with external community partners.
· Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting preferred.
· Certification in substance use counseling or related areas is a plus

Pay: $16,640.00 - $19,760.00 per year
