POSITION SUMMARY: The Director will lead the strategic direction of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program at PEACE, Inc.; including supervision of day to day operations that meet the mission and financial objectives of the program. The director serves as the face of the program, building relationships with stakeholders and community partners; while actively engaging with volunteers, families, staff, etc. often in a direct, practical way.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree and three years of full-time experience in human services or a related field working with volunteers and/or youth. Previous experience with youth mentoring program and supervision of staff, highly desirable. Valid driver license required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Function 1: Strategic Vision, Business Planning & Execution
· Develop and execute the strategic vision, annual goals, and new projects and priorities for the BBBS program
· Lead decision-making regarding short- and long-term key program performance indicators, benchmarks, and timelines and use them to actively manage program design and priorities
· Work closely with the executive director and fiscal department to manage annual program budgets
Essential Function 2: Compliance & Continuous Quality Improvement
· Ensure compliance with all Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) standards of practice (including program delivery, outcomes assessments, risk management, and quality control policies), PEACE, Inc. policies and procedures, grant/gift requirements, and formal partnership agreements
· Complete all necessary assessments and grant reporting
· Compile and prepare data for monthly key performance indicator reports and for required BBBSA submissions and as needed by PEACE, Inc. leadership
· Proactively and regularly monitor/analyze program data to ensure compliance with standards, continuous quality improvement, and child safety (continued)
· Use data to monitor and coach staff regarding personal performance on weekly, monthly and annual bases
· Proactively adjust staff workflow and strategy to ensure achievement of annual and multi-year goals
· Provide final authorization for volunteer mentors managing the background check systems
· Ensure excellent and accurate management of data systems by all program staff to support relationship management, compliance, strategic decision making
· Proactively and transparently communicate internally and externally regarding individual, team, and organizational program outcomes to inform strategic decision making
· Stay abreast of mentoring, youth development, supervisory, and relationship management best practices and, as appropriate, strategically infuses new practices into program delivery
Essential Function 3: Talent Management
· Attract, retain, and direct a diverse, inclusive, skilled, committed, and driven team
· Ensure staff are properly on boarded, trained, coached/developed, supported, and resourced to achieve individual and organizational goals
· Foster a collaborative, engaged, supportive, accountable, and continuously improving performance management culture
· When necessary, assist staff in core work during periods of short staffing, reporting deadlines, etc.
Essential Function 4: Partnership Relationship Development & Management
· Cultivate and nurture strategic relationships with key human service, education, civic group, faith-based, and other workplace partners to ensure optimum program design, training, parent/guardian involvement, and volunteer and child recruitment
· Manage vendor contracts and relationships critical to service delivery
Essential Function 5: Ambassador & Spokesperson
· Represent BBBS passionately and professionally among diverse audiences and at key meetings and events
· Serve as a key member of the volunteer recruitment team
· Positively influence a range of external stakeholders to recruit volunteer mentors, leadership volunteers, charitable contributions, etc.
· Regularly engage professionally on social media platforms to build stakeholder relationships and promote the mission
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES: The director will lead a team of full- and part-time staff members. The director will be responsible for continually assessing the organizational structure of the department, and making staffing adjustments as appropriate.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
