The Director will be responsible for driving the strategic direction, overseeing day-to-day operations, and ensuring the program meets its mission and financial goals. Position Summary:
The Director will lead and execute the strategic vision for the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) program. This includes overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and engaging with volunteers, families, and community partners. As the face of the program, the Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success and sustainability of the BBBS program at PEACE, Inc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Vision, Business Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute the program’s strategic vision, annual goals, and priorities.
- Lead decision-making on key program performance indicators and actively manage program design and priorities.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and fiscal department to manage the program's budget.
- Compliance & Continuous Quality Improvement
- Ensure adherence to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) standards and PEACE, Inc. policies.
- Complete assessments and grant reporting, monitoring program performance and compliance.
- Use data to monitor and coach staff, ensuring quality control and child safety.
- Talent Management
- Attract, retain, and develop a skilled, inclusive, and motivated team.
- Ensure staff are trained, supported, and resourced to achieve individual and organizational goals.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and performance-driven work culture.
- Partnership Relationship Development & Management
- Cultivate strategic relationships with community partners, including human service, education, and faith-based groups.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts to ensure service delivery excellence.
- Ambassador & Spokesperson
- Represent BBBS professionally among diverse audiences, including at meetings and events.
- Serve as a key member of the volunteer recruitment team, engaging with external stakeholders to recruit mentors and support the mission.
- Promote the mission via social media and professional networks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, or related field.
- Minimum of three years of full-time experience working in human services, youth programs, or volunteer management.
- Previous experience with youth mentoring programs and staff supervision is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, database management, and other platforms relevant to program direction.
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret programmatic and legal documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information to various stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities while maintaining excellent program quality.
- Proactive approach to monitoring program data and making adjustments to ensure continuous improvement.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods, utilize a computer, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- The role will involve occasional work outside of the office at community or program sites, including outdoor venues.
- Must be able to handle the stress of competing, simultaneous demands and work with diverse populations.
Clearance/Credentials:
- Agency-mandated background screening.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for insurance purposes.
Salary: 65,000-75,000
