What are the responsibilities and job description for the Preschool Teacher position at Peace Lutheran Preschool?
Peace Lutheran Preschool, a nationally accredited, Christian preschool located in Waunakee, WI is seeking a creative, warm, passionate and qualified teacher in our three-year-old classroom. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to plan and implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child. A background and education in the early childhood field is preferred, however for the individual that is the right fit, we will provide necessary training and mentorship. Position begins August 2022, Approx 20 hours per week, hours: Noon, M-F.

Duties
- Provide a variety of materials, games, toys, books and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
- Work to establish a positive, nurturing relationship with each child.
- Partner with each family to collaborate on providing each child and family with the support and care needed.
- Provide every child with nurturing, responsive and attuned interactions.
- Work collaboratively with co-teacher to carry out the play based curricula designed by the school's leadership.
- Provide faith formation through age appropriate song, stories, prayers etc.
- Through observation establish each child's development across all domains, use that information, along with children's interests to develop and carry out weekly lesson plans.
- Provide fun, engaging and age appropriate daily routines.
- Follow center's daily schedule.
- Implement and carry out the Preschool's philosophy throughout daily work.
- Work collaboratively with all members of the Preschool's staff.
- Provide frequent communication for families.
Requirements
- Carry out responsibilities as outline by licensing, accreditation and church leadership.
- ensure every child's basic needs are attended to promptly and with care.
- Provide an enriching, fun and engaging curricula.
