- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with at least one year of post-training experience in Family Medicine and / or Urgent Care
- Willing to rotate between two clinic locations

Practice Highlights

Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of a physician, the Physician Assistant is responsible for caring for, treating and triaging appropriately, patient's medical, physical and psychosocial needs.
Essential Functions
Within scope of practice, perform comprehensive and problem focused history and physical exams and interpret and correlate laboratory and diagnostic procedures to assist in formulating a diagnosis and treatment plan.Order, collect and perform appropriate laboratory or diagnostic procedures and studies.Provide needed procedures, including assisting in surgery and continually assess patients needs and conduct appropriate follow up.Performing procedures, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic procedures within scope of practice.Order, prescribe and dispense medication and durable goods as allowed by state and within scope of practice.Maintain required records and writes progress notes on patient charts as to status, treatments and procedures.Counsel the patient as to preventative care, medical problems, exercise, and the use of prescribed medications and treatments.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications

Lifting

Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and / or devices. Lifting (non-patient) up to 20 lbs. Bending / stooping / squatting / reaching kneeling frequently. Perform hands on CPR at least 20 mins using 100-125 lbs. of force (National Assoc. of EMS Physicians and AHA) Frequency should be seldom or occasionally.Environmental Conditions
