Our team of therapists consists of well-trained clinicians with a wide range of clinical skills who create a progressive, inclusive, and collaborative therapy practice. We are looking for a patient administrator to join our team to support our patients and clinical team. We are looking for someone with good communication and organizational skills who can work independently and is interested in working in a positive and supportive environment.
Strong candidates are those who are passionate about mental health counseling and wellness and have excellent organizational skills, experience with HIPAA compliance, the ability to manage patient records efficiently, outstanding communication abilities, and a deep commitment to maintaining confidentiality and providing exceptional patient care.
The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and has an essential role in maintaining the smooth operation of our practice, providing exceptional administrative support to our clinicians and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Reception and Communication: Answer incoming calls and emails promptly and professionally. Address patient inquiries and direct them to the appropriate clinician or staff member.
2. Scheduling: Schedule new patient appointments, managing the clinicians' calendars efficiently.
3. Patient Onboarding: Assist new patients in creating their patient files, ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately. Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
4. Administrative Support: Manage office supplies and monitor inventory levels, placing orders as needed to ensure the office is well-stocked. Support the administrative team with special projects and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; undergraduate education in psychology, or communications, is a plus.
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting or strong interested in the field of psychotherapy and willing to learn, is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- A friendly and professional demeanor with a commitment to providing excellent patient service.
