We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll while serving as a key point of contact for payroll-related matters across our group. Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Accurately and efficiently process payroll for employees in three different companies, ensuring compliance with company policies, employment standards, and tax regulations. Willing to take on additional payroll responsibilities as the company continues to grow.
- Maintain payroll records, including timesheets, deductions, benefits, and other relevant documentation.
- Ensure payroll transactions align with federal, state, and local laws, preparing reports as needed for audits and compliance purposes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employees and managers for payroll-related inquiries, addressing concerns about wages, benefits, and deductions in a timely and professional manner.
- Utilize and keep updated payroll/HR software (experience with ADP is a significant advantage) to process payroll efficiently and maintain accurate records.
- Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to support payroll-related initiatives, system improvements, and reporting needs.
- Act as the main point of contact for Corporate HR, completing people related tasks as requested.
- Other duties as requested.
Education & Experience
- Payroll Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in payroll administration, with a strong understanding of payroll best practices.
- Certificate or diploma in business administration, payroll, or accounting is considered an asset.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with payroll systems (ADP is a major plus) and a high level of comfort with MS Office programs including Word, Outlook and MS Excel.
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and management information systems considered an asset
- Knowledge of Payroll Legislation: Expertise with payroll compliance requirements in the US and multiple states.
- Detail-Oriented & Highly Organized: Ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve payroll issues efficiently and remain calm.
- Communication & Confidentiality: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an exceptional level of discretion when handling sensitive employee and company information.
