- Provide technical assistance to individuals regarding document filings and agency procedures
- Research and process documents in compliance with Public Service Law, SAPA guidelines, and Commission Rules
- Analyze formal/informal petitions and determine proper categorization and routing
- Create and manage new case files using internal databases
- Process Commission orders, notices, rulings, and tariff filings accurately and in a timely manner
- Assist agency staff and the public with research and retrieval of filed documents
- Respond to inquiries regarding document types, status, and procedures
- Maintain and update document and case databases
- Operate microfiche equipment to retrieve archived documents (training provided)
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- 1–2 years of clerical or administrative experience, ideally in document processing or legal/regulatory settings
- Strong reading comprehension and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with internal databases or CRM platforms is a plus
- Self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable interacting with the public and working independently
- Rate: $21/hour
- Length of Engagement: 1 year
- Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:45pm
- Location: Onsite in Albany, NY (12223)
