The Team You Will Be Joining
- The state of Texas agency that is responsible for ensuring public safety through law enforcement, criminal investigations, driver licensing, and maintaining the state's emergency management and homeland security operations.
- Process large volumes of record entries by reviewing every individual record entry by researching and verifying the accuracy, completeness, and compliance with National Crime Information Center/Texas Crime Information Center (NCIC/TCIC) rules, policies, and procedures.
- Notify entering agencies of identified errors and follow up with entering agencies to ensure that errors are corrected in a timely manner.
- Utilize databases for managing data; validate agency records; compose monthly statistical reports on supported programs, records handled, and documentation relating to specific customer interactions; and review reports.
- Report anomalies and suspected errors in CCH, OLN, REG, or other reference databases to the supervisor.
- Stay abreast of policies, laws, and changes at the state and federal levels impacting the QC program. Ensure that the program and systems are compliant as changes occur.
- Maintain a daily QC stat sheet.
- Attend work regularly and observe approved work hours in accordance with agency leave and attendance policies.
- 1 year or more experience performing quality assurance/data entry
- Proficiency with MS Office to include Excel; must be able to learn new software/systems
- Experience responsibly handling sensitive and confidential information to include dissemination of information
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, research, and analytical skills
- Ability to transfer weights of up to 25 pounds
- Rate: $28.00
- Length of Engagement: Through 8/31/25 with potential for extension.
- Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
- Location: Austin, TX (78752).
