Commercial HVAC Foreman
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of HVAC technicians and installers on commercial construction projects.
- Ensure all HVAC installations are done per project specifications, local codes, and manufacturer requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, sub-contractors, and other trades to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
- Maintain high standards of safety and enforce OSHA regulations on job sites.
- Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC system issues that arise during installation and construction.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and project plans to ensure accurate HVAC system layout and installation.
- Order and manage materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the HVAC installation process.
- Train and mentor HVAC technicians and helpers, ensuring skill development and adherence to best practices.
- Conduct quality control checks and ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Coordinate with Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure project timelines and expectations are met.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, particularly in commercial construction.
- Proven experience as an HVAC foreman or supervisor, with a strong understanding of commercial construction processes.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, refrigeration, and controls.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- OSHA 10/30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and HVAC system specifications.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor in various environmental conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification from a recognized HVAC training or apprenticeship program.
- Experience with commercial building management systems (Client).
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
