Job Summary
We are seeking a Materials Project Manager to oversee procurement activities, ensuring timely shipments to customers and meeting production planning and scheduling requirements.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop and execute production plans, schedules, and coordination for all companies
- Organize buying activities, prioritize tasks, and negotiate with suppliers
- Maintain relationships with vendors and ensure accurate data in the ERP system
- Collaborate with Engineering to source new components and materials
- Respond to customer inquiries and evaluate vendor quotations
- Prepare and review contracts, bids, proposals, and agreements for legal correctness and specifications
- Issue purchase orders, change notices, and review requisitions for materials, equipment, and supplies
Requirements:
- 5 years' experience in procurement, materials planning, and project management in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Experience with ERP systems
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely responses to internal and external customer inquiries
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure accuracy of all vendor data in the ERP system
