We are currently looking for an experienced IT Project Manager who thrives on collaboration, possesses exceptional communication skills, and boasts a robust IT background to join our Consulting Services team. If you have a proven track record of successfully leading complex GxP IT projects to completion and a passion for delivering exceptional service to clients, this role is made for you!

As an IT Project Manager at Project Outlier, you will:

• Manage 1 complex or 2-3 less complex IT GxP system implementation projects by leading the efforts to define, plan, and drive completion of client programs and projects.
• Regularly communicate with the client to understand their project goals, objectives, and priorities.
• Ensure that project goals, objectives, scope, deliverables, resources, high-level timelines, and key constraints are clearly understood before kicking off detailed project planning.
• Develop and maintain project schedules to a sufficient level of detail to track key project deliverables, tasks, task owners, dependencies, and timelines.
• Manage assigned project team members, including people from other organizations, to ensure high-quality and on-time delivery of all in-scope project deliverables.
• Quickly identify, resolve, and/or escalate critical project risks and issues.
• Ensure that clients and key stakeholders are effectively informed about projects via regular project meetings, dashboards, 1:1s, and steering committee meetings.
• Be accountable for the success of all assigned projects, project teams, and project deliverables.
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Relevant degree from an accredited, four-year college or university.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience as a consultant or in a consultant-like role
• At least 5 years of IT project management experience (have successfully managed a variety of IT projects (e.g. platform/vendor selections, system implementations, system upgrades, data migrations, etc.)
• At least 2 years of experience working with biotech/pharmaceutical organizations
• Understand GxP regulations and the steps needed to validate computerized systems
• Experience managing a variety of IT GxP system implementation projects (QMS, LIMS, RIM, Veeva, LabVantage, etc.)
• Proven ability to take initiative, set project direction, resolve issues, and develop solutions.
• Ability to anticipate stakeholder needs and proactively identify and seize opportunities for improvement is critical.
• Comfort and ability to work in ambiguous and ever-changing environments.
• Ideally located in the San Diego, CA area or in one of the pharma/biotech hot spots: Greater San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, New Jersey, Philadelphia, or North Carolina; must be willing to travel to clients, conferences, etc.
