About the Job:
PURPOSE STATEMENT:The Outpatient Business Manager provides strategic leadership for outpatient business services. The OBM is responsible for facilitating, directing, and coordinating operational activities and programs of assigned departments relative to the day-to-day operations of the hospital through the delivery of business management for outpatient. Participates in the general leadership of the hospital in close support of the CEO in order the hospital to achieve its operation. assuring sound fiscal operations, and compliance with laws and regulations.
Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 annually
Roles and Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintains an environment and culture which focuses on fulfilling the organizations, mission, vision and values.
- Helps to ensure all employees are committed to quality and service.
- Analyze and develop effective business processes that drive positive Outpatient Program growth outcomes
- Provides support and instruction as needed to direct care staff to ensure they adequately understand the expectations of outpatient business needs.
- Drives new program implementations based on market needs and data.
- Ensures all programming and documentation is in accordance with regulatory agencies and standards.
- Develops strong relationships with key referral sources. Establishes and sustains a professional rapport of physicians, clinicians, community, and professional organizations.
- Develop records and statistics to identify trends and obstacles of growth.
- Builds a strong collaborative relationship with admissions to enable a smooth transition from assessment to admission.
- Builds a strong collaborative relationship with the inpatient clinical department to enable a smooth transition from inpatient to outpatient step-downs.
- Collaborate with leadership for service line development and implementation.
- Collaborate with the business development team for speaking engagements, and various business development activities as needed.
- Actively participates in strategic planning and corresponding development activities including volume building, regulatory preparedness and quality improvement.
- Develops positive relationships with local industry, local government, potential key health care providers, and the public.
- Partner with the Outpatient Clinical Director to analyze and drive business metrics and develop plans to adjust business needs as market factors change.
- Supervise employees as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
- Five or more years of experience in strategic program growth and implementation.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a leadership role.
- A working knowledge of behavioral health management.
- An advanced knowledge of state and federal regulatory and various accreditation requirements related to behavioral health management.
- Working knowledge of operations and financial management and marketing methods.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
