ABOUT THIS ROLE
As the Director of Facilities at PEAK6, you’ll play a pivotal role in overseeing facilities operations across all PEAK6 office locations globally, ensuring each workspace is efficient, safe, functional, and aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives. With a focus on managing operations, budgets, vendor relationships, and team performance, you’ll help foster an environment that supports employee productivity and satisfaction. You will lead initiatives to optimize physical workspaces and implement innovative solutions to meet the company’s evolving needs.
This position is based out of our Austin HQ and will be onsite 5 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Operations Management:
Oversee daily facilities operations across our global office locations to ensure optimal functionality and maintenance.
Monitor workplace safety, compliance, and maintenance standards to uphold a productive and secure work environment.
Vendor Management & Contract Oversight:
Develop and negotiate vendor contracts for maintenance, utilities, supplies, tenant services, food programs, and more.
Manage service contracts to ensure cost efficiency and compliance, initiate RFPs, conduct performance and financial reviews, and ensure invoice accuracy.
Maintain strong partnerships with vendors and service providers, balancing quality with cost-effectiveness.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage budgets for facilities operations, maintenance, and capital improvement projects, ensuring alignment with PEAK6 standards.
Track and analyze financial performance, optimizing spend while maintaining service quality.
Team Management & Leadership:
Lead and mentor a high-performing Facilities team, providing training, guidance, and development opportunities.
Foster a customer service-focused culture within the team to support the workplace needs of employees across various locations.
Real Estate Strategy & Planning:
Develop and execute a comprehensive facilities strategy, ensuring adequate space for employees in a safe, productive, and engaging work environment.
Collaborate with leadership to assess and forecast long-term facilities needs.
Manage lease negotiations and renewals using strong financial and business acumen to evaluate options such as consolidations, relocations, and expansions.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
Utilize analytics and data insights to inform decision-making and ensure efficient use of resources.
Implement systems to measure the impact and effectiveness of facilities programs, continuously improving processes.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
8 years of experience in facilities management, including multi-location operations oversight.
Proven experience managing vendor relationships and overseeing budgets.
Strong expertise in office real estate, renovation, and tenant improvement projects.
Knowledge of facilities-related compliance, safety standards, and best practices.
A keen eye for office space detail, ensuring spaces balance functionality with aesthetics to create an environment that inspires productivity and reflects the company’s culture.
Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and leadership capabilities, with a focus on motivating teams.
