How You Can Join Us
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and executing equipment installations, updates, and configurations as part of the tech refresh for a DoD customer. The role requires a hands-on approach and involves close collaboration with various teams to ensure network reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Management:
- Coordinate, unpackage, install, move, and configure network equipment according to Government-provided specifications.
- Handle equipment as necessary, including turning in, excessing, destroying, or eliminating assets.
- Ensure all tasks related to the tech refresh of projects are completed.
- Documentation:
- Provide updated rack diagrams and network diagrams reflecting the current state of the network after each equipment installation or modification.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate with Tier II support teams to obtain and apply configuration files for new equipment installations.
- Ensure seamless integration of new network components into the existing infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Network Installation Technician in a similar capacity
- Strong understanding of network hardware and software, including installation and configuration processes.
- Experience with Defense Reutilization Marketing Office (DRMO) processes or similar asset management practices.
- Ability to create and maintain accurate network documentation, including rack and network diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Tier II support and other technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with tech refresh projects or large-scale network upgrades.
- Familiarity with government or military network environments.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network ) are a plus.
Clearance:
- Secret required
Certification(s):
- Required Security Environment Certification: DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Computing Environment (CE) Certification such as CompTIA Security CE or equivalent
- Preferred Certification: CCNA (or CCNA track in progress)
