What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Manager position at PeakView Recruiting?
We seek experienced Plant Manager candidates for our Whitewood, SD facility. This position reports to the Senior Operations Manager and oversees the day-to-day operations of this location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Activities: Manage all production-related activities, including safety, P&L, product quality, staff training/development, and LEAN initiatives. Ensure product manufacturing, warehousing, and delivery/pick-up meet quality guidelines, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.
- Safety and Strategic Goals: Actively lead and support the safety program and strategic goals, including P&L responsibilities and the development of the annual budget and capital expenditure plans.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with an extensive dealer base, sales managers, and sales staff.
Qualified Applicant Requirements:
- Education/Experience: Possess a college degree or equivalent experience with at least 3 years of progressive experience managing a feed mill.
- Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills to motivate staff and experience in a LEAN manufacturing environment. Solid computer skills are a must.
