Primary Purpose
As the IT Technology Management Enterprise Platform Architect, you will play a pivotal role in defining the strategic design and governance of our IT systems and processes. In this position, you will collaborate closely with IT operations, infrastructure, business leaders, and engineers to create a unified approach to modernizing and optimizing our IT support systems.
As a technology-focused architecture expert, you will oversee all architectural aspects of Technology Management, crafting visionary roadmaps, establishing reference architectures, and setting the strategic direction. Your scope will span critical areas, including :
- Incident and Change Management : Designing systems to efficiently handle IT incidents and changes, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations and maintaining high service quality
- Service and Configuration Management : Developing strategies for managing IT services and configurations, ensuring that all components are properly documented, maintained, and aligned with business needs.
- Asset Management : Architecting the lifecycle management of IT assets, from procurement to disposal, ensuring optimal utilization and cost-effectiveness.
- Portfolio Management : Shaping the IT project portfolio, prioritizing initiatives based on strategic alignment, resource availability, and potential impact.
- FINOPS (Financial Operations) : Formulating financial management practices to optimize IT spending, improve cost transparency, and drive value from IT investments.
- Risk and Controls : Establishing and enforcing controls to mitigate IT risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and safeguarding the organization's information assets.
This role demands a unique combination of technical expertise and leadership qualities. Strategic thinking, decisive action, and a passion for innovation are essential to ensuring the architecture function effectively bridges business objectives with advanced technological solutions, driving secure, resilient, and scalable outcomes across the enterprise.
Our flexible / hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include : Salisbury, NC, Chicago, IL, Quincy, MA, Mauldin, SC, Carlisle, PA, Hyattsville, MD, & Scarborough, ME.

The Enterprise Architect II is a senior-level role that involves leading IT architecture's strategic design and governance across technology platforms. This role defines and drives technology roadmaps, influences enterprise strategy, and fosters innovation. Enterprise Platform Architects are specialists within our Technology Enablement Platform, focusing on technology-driven domains. As domain experts, they develop standards, patterns, and decision frameworks that guide architectural and engineering practices. Their primary mission is to equip the architecture and engineering community with deep technical expertise, establish technical standards, and ensure the organization builds resilient, stable, predictable, and scalable solutions that support and enhance operational excellence.
