POSITION SUMMARY: The Site Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of Preschool and Outreach, overseeing activities, staff, logistics, and ensuring a safe and efficient environment while adhering to Pearl Buck Center policies and goals. In coordination with the Preschool and Family Supports Director,
the Site Coordinator will ensure compliance with regulations required by DELC, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), USDA, agency grants and other applicable rules. The person in this position will help to
create unique and engaging classroom experiences, home visiting, and foster teachers and family supports staff to be passionate and committed professionals while applying Pearl Buck Center's core values of stewardship,
compassion, integrity and equity.
1. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Classroom/Family Support Support Classroom ensure lunch, breaks, and classroom coverage
Assisting in meeting and maintaining licensing accreditation/certification standards with Oregon Program of Quality Designation, SPARK, Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care
(DELC), Preschool Promise Program, ALERT, and CACFP
Ensure accurate and complete data on the individual child files, (including required daily
observation forms for all children under 3 years of age; attendance records, Client Contact Logs,
weekly child observations, home visit records, child assessments, child developmental
screenings, child goals, portfolio for each child and PBC data system.
Ensure monthly home visiting and monthly paperwork are completed
Complete monthly program newsletters
Manage parenting classes and support groups
Act in the capacity of Sub Director as needed
Office
Provide clerical support for the Preschool and Family Supports Director, assisting in meeting and maintaining
licensing accreditation/certification standards with DELC, Oregon Quality Rating & Improvement System and
the US Department of Agriculture
Assist the Preschool and Family Supports Director in monitoring all policies, procedures, grants, contracts
and contract amendments related to the program
Provide coverage for the Preschool reception desk during open business hours.
Ensure that the reception desk, mail room, resource room and clothing closet are maintained and organized.
Open and close the Preschool center
Enter and follow up on NOTO maintenance requests
Complete monthly safety walks
Supervisor
Provide support, coaching, direction, progressive discipline and annual performance reviews of all direct
reports. Teach, train and mentor direct reports, new volunteers and interns to ensure timely and quality
work is performed.
Ensure and maintain safety of department facilities and equipment and the health and safety of all
its' participants
Approve timecards, and mileage
2. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in planning and supervising special events for children/families.
Maintain open communication via phone calls, messages, home visits and periodic visits to the classroom by the parents.
Collaborate with parents and their children in a warm, calming, respectful, encouraging and patient manner.
Ensure workflow and/or procedures are kept up-to-date for owned tasks
Maintain all safety protocols and techniques within the workplace
Maintain an accurate daily record on timesheet of hours worked
Acts responsive and engaged with developing a positive work environment which includes providing honest,
respectful and direct feedback to other staff, participating in team meetings, team development, personal
training plans, respecting diversity and differences among staff, clients, students, families and stakeholders.
Completes other duties as assigned

4. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Have associate's degree in early childhood education or childhood development Associate Certificate, or related field OR Be at a Step 8 in the Oregon Registry or have a professional development plan outlining steps to be taken to achieve Step 8 or Qualified teacher through DELC
At least 2 years' experience working in Early Childhood Education with young children.
Ability to pass an Oregon Department of Human Services Background Check
Registered in the Central Background Check
Minimum of 2 years of previous supervision experience including recruiting, hiring and implementing progressive discipline
Demonstrated experience to maintain confidential and sensitive information
Excellent communicator both verbally and in writing
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work for self and others
Experience working with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred.
Valid Oregon driver's license, including driving record and liability insurance acceptable to PBC and its insurance carrier.
Must be able to meet minimum training requirements and complete renewals as required for CPR and
First Aid Certification, Food Handler's Card, Mandatory Abuse Reporting and Blood Borne Pathogens.
5. PHYSICAL DEMAND:
The physical effort applied in this job will vary depending on situation. Typically, lifting up to 50
lbs., bending, working at floor level, standing, walking, sitting and communicating will apply
6. MENTAL OR VISUAL DEMAND:
Constant mental and visual focus is required while working with children and staff
7. WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working conditions will typically be in a climate controlled and regulated environment
Playground and off-site work will present a variety of environmental conditions
Appropriate personal protective equipment will be supplied if needed
8. ATTENDANCE:
This position requires availability based on business need
On occasion, overtime may be required
It is imperative that attendance protocols are adhered to and that Department Call-In Policies are
maintained at all times

Being pro-active to prevent injuries or incidents is an expectation
All injuries or incidents, no matter how small, must be reported
10. FSLA:
The position of Site Coordinator is a non-exempt position
Non-Exempt positions are eligible for overtime pay
Salary : $22 - $25
