Position Overview:
This is an Agronomy Solutions that works in support of PCE Sales Agronomist(s) supporting the Precision Farming Product(s) of PCE and the Work Order (WO) process. Primary responsibility will be collecting field data, utilizing PCE licensed software to create programs/proposals for PCE customers and/or prospective customers. Agronomy Solutions will work together with Sales Agronomist to develop and present on a field-by-field basis. Additionally, Agronomy Solutions will work in the Work Order process to ensure smooth entry into PCE licensed Work Order programs. The Agronomy Solutions team helps to provide Precision Farming Products and Services – such as soil sampling, field boundaries, drone scouting, etc. As part of the Agronomy Solutions team, members participate in different precision activities based on skill set, interest, and need.
Duties include:
- Work with Sales Agronomist and assist in key areas of the Sales Process (Discover, Create, Present). Additional support and learning in the other key areas of the Sales Process (Explore, Close, Strengthen & Expand).
- Responsible for collecting field information in the Discovery stage, ensuring accurate data transfer to PCE licensed programs (FieldAlytics, R7, Climate).
- Responsible for creating sales proposals (in the Creation stage) based on information gained in the Discovery Process
- Strong customer service skills - you will assist and work with customers daily. Responsible for assisting Sales Agronomist in the Presentation of programs and field by field strategy(ies).
- Active in field scouting & fall data collection (Veris, EM-38, Soil Sampling)
- Available to work extended hours when needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in Agri-Business related program or 2-year Agri-Business related certification with 3 years applicable internship or other Ag career experience. Graduate degree is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Strong computer/technology skills.
- Agronomy internship.
- Experience with software tools or demonstrated proficiency in learning: Agris, EFC, Microsoft Office, FieldAlytics, Climate, R7
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational skills, communications skills, the ability to multi-task, and most importantly, the ability to work well in a team.
- This is a safety sensitive position.
- CDL preferred but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $59,000.00 per year
