Duties
- Measure and cut glass to specified dimensions using appropriate tools.
- Install glass panels in windows, doors, and other structures.
- Repair or replace broken glass in existing installations.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure proper insulation and weatherproofing.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand project specifications.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met.
- Perform heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Glazier or in a related field such as drywall, maintenance person services, remodeling, or frame carpentry.
- Strong knowledge of construction site practices and safety protocols.
- Ability to operate power tools and perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds).
- Familiarity with caulking techniques and materials.
- Proficient in reading schematics and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- Valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
