Full-Time Activity Assistant

We are currently seeking a dedicated and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team.

Position Overview:

The Activities Assistant will work closely with the Activities Director to implement recreational programs that enhance the quality of life for our residents. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring individual who enjoys working with seniors and is passionate about making a positive impact on their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, organizing, and executing daily activities, including social events, games, arts and crafts, and other recreational programs.
• Encourage resident participation in activities that promote mental and physical well-being.
• Help transport and accompany residents to and from activities as needed.
• Assist in setting up and cleaning up activity areas.
• Monitor residents’ needs and ensure their safety during activities.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Document resident participation and report any changes in behavior or preferences to the Activities Director.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Experience working with the elderly or in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be creative, enthusiastic, and compassionate.
• Ability to lift and move equipment and assist residents as needed.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position offering 40 hours per week. The schedule may include weekends and holidays depending on the needs of the facility.
