We are currently seeking a dedicated and energetic Activities Assistant to join our team.
Position Overview:
The Activities Assistant will work closely with the Activities Director to implement recreational programs that enhance the quality of life for our residents. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring individual who enjoys working with seniors and is passionate about making a positive impact on their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing daily activities, including social events, games, arts and crafts, and other recreational programs.
- Encourage resident participation in activities that promote mental and physical well-being.
- Help transport and accompany residents to and from activities as needed.
- Assist in setting up and cleaning up activity areas.
- Monitor residents’ needs and ensure their safety during activities.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Document resident participation and report any changes in behavior or preferences to the Activities Director.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Experience working with the elderly or in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be creative, enthusiastic, and compassionate.
- Ability to lift and move equipment and assist residents as needed.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position offering 40 hours per week. The schedule may include weekends and holidays depending on the needs of the facility.
