We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Scribe/Medical Assistant to join our team in our NE Portland, OR location. We are also looking for someone in our NW Barnes Rd. location.
The Medical Scribe will work closely with healthcare providers to accurately document patient interactions and medical information in real-time. Responsibilities: - Transcribe patient history, physical examinations, consultations, and other medical reports - Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records (EMR) - Assist healthcare providers with documentation during patient exams - Ensure all medical charts are complete and up-to-date - Coordinate communication between healthcare providers and other medical staff - Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality Skills: - Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge - Familiarity with coding and medical administrative support - Ability to accurately record vital signs and patient care information - Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills - Knowledge of basic life support procedures - Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is a plus - Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective patient service. The Medical Assistant will provide support to medical professionals in a clinical setting, ensuring the efficient operation of the facility.
Duties:
- Perform basic clinical tasks under the supervision of a physician
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Take and record vital signs accurately
- Assist with patient care and procedures
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Prepare patients for examinations, x-rays and treatments
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and procedures
- Handle patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism

Qualifications:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program
- Proficiency in basic life support (BLS)
- Experience in medication administration
- Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring

- Ability to perform X-Ray and casting is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Orthopedic experience preferred
