What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Peer Support Specialist position at Pearl Health Clinic?
** Please note- this position REQUIRES that applicants have already completed the Certified Peer Support Specialist training. **
Ability to work with individuals who have experienced trauma and have not yet learned how to communicate in healthy ways or do not have the capacity to communicate in healthy ways due to a severe mental illness or intellectual disability
Commitment to work with individuals who are struggling with safe interpersonal interactions that can at times be unhealthy
Be able to work independently, follow verbal and written instructions, and meet deadlines
Ability to be flexible with scheduling and site locations and to perform and prioritize multiple functions and tasks
Exemplary time management skills
Comfortability navigating electronic documents and electronic systems required to perform job duties
Strong communication skills, basic keyboarding skills
Ability to maintain confidential information within HIPAA guidelines and organizational policies
Adherence to mandatory abuse reporting laws
Value working with underserved and marginalized populations and appreciate diversity
A mature attitude and sensitivity to populations dealing with mental health challenges
Respect and honor peers’ rights and responsibilities and demonstrate professional boundaries and ethics
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.80 - $21.00 per hour
