Job Description
The Senior Software Engineer - Content Solution is responsible for designing and developing content software solutions for certification programs. This role involves conducting meetings with key stakeholders to identify and analyze the needs of certification programs, and designing, developing, and testing software solutions to meet those needs. The Senior Software Engineer - Content Solution participates in analyzing, designing, developing, testing, releasing, localizing, and maintaining each product. This position reports to the Director of Exam Product Development.
Primary Responsibilities Certification Content Solution Design and DevelopmentIdentify and analyze the content requirements of developing certification exams and training productsDesign, develop, and test software programs and cloud-based solutions to deliver exam contentIntegrate and streamline content localization processes for global program reachImplement automated content analysis and assessments using LLM and other AI modelsCollaborate with content engineers and developers to deliver seamless software solutionsIdentify and troubleshoot issues within internal and external exam content management and publishing systemsTechnical Writing
Document content solutions, procedures, and best practicesContribute to developing and refining standard operating procedures for content managementQuality Assurance
Uphold rigorous quality and performance standards for content solutionsInvestigate and resolve quality issues reported by internal and external stakeholdersProject Management
Work with project managers and other stakeholders to develop project schedulesProvide accurate time and cost estimates for content solution developmentAttend project meetings and lead meetings as requiredRequired Knowledge and Experience Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field;We will accept a bachelor's equivalent based on a combination of education as determined by a professional evaluation service.
A professional IT certification from a major IT vendor such as Adobe, Apple, Autodesk, Cisco, CompTIA, Microsoft, etc.5 years of professional experience in software development2 years of professional experience in IT exam product developmentProfessional development experience using C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, and VBScript.Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 products including Graph API, Office Scripts, VBAProven experience with Microsoft Azure, Windows, macOS, and LinuxKnowledge of internationalization and localization including Unicode, keyboard layouts, and text direction for Latin, CJK, Greek, Cyrillic, Arabic scriptsUnderstanding of cybersecurity principles and best practicesDesire to expand knowledge in software development technologies, systems, and toolsProven ability to quickly learn new processes and tools, business domains and technical applicationsAbility to think technically and analyticallyAbility to understand philosophy of software architectureEffective written and verbal communication skillsCreative problem-solving skillsMust assimilate information, distill knowledge, apply experience and provide solution alternatives and recommendationsMust have strong time management skills - including the ability to work well under pressure, plan, set priorities, adapt to change, and meet established timelinesMust develop effective relationships with internal and external contacts and work well within a teamMust be a self-starterMust be detail-oriented
