We are currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our CAS department. This role will focus on managing and processing payroll for multiple clients, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, client-focused, and experienced in handling payroll operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process payroll for multiple clients across various industries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain and update payroll records, including wages, benefits, deductions, and tax withholdings.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Reconcile payroll transactions and prepare necessary reports for clients.
• Assist clients with payroll tax filings, including quarterly and annual tax reports.
• Stay up to date with changes in payroll laws and regulations to advise clients accordingly.
• Work closely with CAS team members to integrate payroll functions with overall accounting and financial reporting.
• Respond to client inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and tax deductions.
• Assist in onboarding new clients and setting up payroll processes tailored to their business needs.
• Respond to IRS payroll notices.
Qualifications & Skills:
• 3 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi-client environment.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and knowledge of Yearli software
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when needed.
