Job Title: Production Welder
At Dailey Precast, LLC, a subsidiary of Peckham Industries, we are seeking a skilled Production Welder to join our team. This is a full-time position working in a production environment.
About Us:
We specialize in the design and manufacturing of quality precast/prestressed concrete products. Our projects include parking structures, building exteriors, bridges, sports stadiums, and retaining walls throughout Metro New York/New Jersey, Upstate New York, and New England. We utilize the latest technologies to ensure high-quality products that meet our customers' needs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on steel components based on project specifications and blueprints.
- Ensure all welds meet quality and durability standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety standards.
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to understand project needs.
- Communicate any issues or recommendations for process improvements.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred).
- Punctuality and reliability, including proper time clock use and communication with Crew Leader regarding work status and scheduling.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Proven experience as a welder/fabricator, ideally in a manufacturing or construction environment (precast experience preferred).
- Familiarity with MIG, TIG, and stick welding; certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, CAD designs, and using metalworking tools like grinders, plasma cutters, and saws.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices.
- Ability to meet deadlines while working independently or as part of a team.
- Proficient in verbal and written English.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
