Job Description

Position summary

Performs a variety of duties in the trailer, tractor, and all motorized vehicles that are service by the truck shop.

Essential Functions

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·         Performs a variety of duties in the trailer, tractor, and all motorized vehicles that are service by the truck shop.

·         Be able to dismantle and rebuild machine components to manufactures specifications.

·         Be able to use welding equipment, hand and machine tools to manufactures specifications.

·         Diagnose, repair and maintain equipment such as steer loaders, backhoes, forklifts and on-highway trucks.

·         Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines used in power generation, marine propulsion, and agricultural machinery.

·         Comply with written company policies.

·         Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with company GMP policies.

·         Follow the written specification for packaging and labeling of products.

Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or plant management official.

                Abnormal situation would be:

                                Product tampering

                                Willful product adulteration

                                Unauthorized employees in restricted areas

                                Situation where a belief that product adulteration may be occurring

                                Equipment malfunction that may put product wholesomeness at stake

Physical Demands:

·         Standing / walking 100% of the workday.

·         Being able to work in a mostly outdoor environment.

·         Occasional  Heavy Lifting

Minimum Qualifications

·         1-2 years Experience as DieselMechanic

·         High school Graduate or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

·         3-years’ experience in automotive, trucking, or heavy equipment environment

·         Graduation from a diesel training program
