What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping/Receiving Clerk position at Peco Pallet?
Job Summary:
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for ensuring that all loads get shipped and received on time.
Essential Duties:
- Schedule appointments via email for inbound and outbound loads.
- Keep an accurate list of all trailers on the yard.
- Dispatch yard jockey to ensure that work is always available in doors.
- Process all inbound, outbound, and sort transactions in Redlink.
- Work with carriers to ensure that all loads are picked up and delivered on time.
- Inspect inbound paperwork to ensure accuracy and security of loads.
- Clean or report any contamination or potential food safety issues for customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Learn, understand, and adhere to all PECO safety policies and procedures for the depot as well as for your role.
Education, Skills and Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited high school or General Education Development (GED)
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary
- Transportation and warehousing background are a must
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Employee will be interacting with many individuals and must possess good interpersonal skills
