Position Summary
This position is responsible for supervising the day to day operations and strategic direction of grid infrastructure and distribution maintenance including, reclosers, voltage regulators, capacitors, distribution switching devices and SCADA controlled devices.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and oversee all power quality initiatives, implement and maintain a predictive maintenance approach
- Provide support for capital improvement projects
- Assist in developing and implementing a condition based maintenance program for all distribution equipment
- Assist in developing and implementing equipment maintenance cycles based on manufacturers’ recommendations and industry best practices
- Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining an annual inspection program for voltage regulators, capacitors, reclosers, switches and other key equipment
- Evaluate and interpret dissolved gas analysis and fluid quality analysis reports and develop recommendations for corrective action
- Conduct and train employees in electrical testing, including transformer turns ratio, digital low resistance ohmmeter, fluid dialectic tests, power factor, winding resistance, sweep frequency response analysis, etc.
- Provide technical support to grid modernization initiatives
- Assist in developing commissioning and testing protocols for feeder automation and self healing networks
- Assist in developing a departmental training program for distribution maintenance and testing
- Supervise power quality programs and assist in resolution of power quality related issues across the organization

- Plan and implement programs to achieve long range goals that support the Cooperative Strategic Plan
- Assist in developing short and long term budgets to support the Cooperative‘s annual financial goals
- Prepare and present status of programs for management
- Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates
- Supervise the work of office, administrative or customer service employees to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems
- Provide employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems and in resolvingescalated complaints or disputes
- Implement corporate and departmental policies, procedures and service standards in conjunctionwith management
- Discuss job performance problems with employees to identify causes and issues and work to resolve problems
- Teach and instruct employees in job duties and company policies or arrange for training to beprovided
- Evaluate employees' job performance and conformance to regulations and recommendappropriate personnel action

Minimum Qualifications - (Education, Experience)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Five years as a Journeyworker
- Four years Leadership experience
- Have and maintain a valid Texas Class A CDL
