Position Summary
Manages the business support activities for PEC’s Transmission business, including leading the transmission strategic plan, coordinating and monitoring transmission budget performance, identifying and leading process improvement initiatives, and coordinating training and development activities for the transmission business unit.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Leads the development of transmission strategic goals and plans in collaboration with business unit leadership and stakeholdersAssists with developing and tracking key performance indicators (KPI) to measure the effectiveness of the transmission business and business processesReports on strategic goals performanceMonitors and reports on transmission business performance budgets, including O&M and CIP budget performanceCoordinate capital plan performance forecasting (in collaboration with Finance, Planning & Engineering, and Project Management)Organize transmission business information (processes, procedures, standards, dashboards, SharePoint sites, etc.) in order to operate effectively as a cohesive operating businessIdentify and lead implementation of transmission business process improvementsPartners with business unit management and stakeholders to assess current training needs and identify training opportunities, coordinates training across transmission departmentsManage Transmission business unit training budget and approval processCollaborates closely with Human Resources to ensure strategic alignment with PEC-wide initiatives and activitiesLeads activities and future development of performance within the business unit, including employee development and training, process planning and work productivityOversees and works with third party vendorsMaintain the security of confidential informationStay abreast of advances in technologyDemonstrate regular and prompt attendancePerforms other related duties as necessary or assignedSupervisory and / or Leadership Responsibilities
