Opportunity for a friendly, enthusiastic medical receptionist to join our pediatric office and our amazing team. Previous medical receptionist experience preferred. We are looking for someone who is well organized and dedicated. We offer competitive hourly rates and benefit packages. This is a full-time position, Monday- Friday with a rotating Saturday schedule.
Responsibilities include
- Greeting patients
- Answering phone calls
- Appropriately scheduling appointments
- Verifying patient information and insurance coverage
- Collect co-pays and payments for services rendered.
- Maintain patient records.
- Assist with medial admin tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning.
- Coordinate referrals to other health care providers.
- Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized.
- Follows office policies and maintains HIPPA confidentiality policies.
Experience
- Previous medical receptionist experience preferred.
- High school diploma required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficient in using phone systems.
- Experience with EMR systems preferred.
- Excellent communication skills
