What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Office Manager Part-time position at Pediatric Associates of New Bedford, Inc.?
Part-time position, 24 hours, 3 days per week for a pediatric practice.
Salary is based on experience.
Experience with medical practice management and/or operations in an office setting.
Knowledge of EPIC software helpful.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitude needed with the ability to interact effectively with patients and medical professionals at all levels. Ability to work and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
ASSOCIATE'S DEGREE in Medical Office Administration, Healthcare Management or a related field
or
LPN with supervisory experience

Duties:
Oversee day-to -day office operations, providing leadership and guidance to administrative and clinical staff to ensure seamless workflows and morale. Practice liaison for the practice.
Maintain and enhance a culture of exceptional patient care by optimizing appointment scheduling, ensuring prompt follow-up and addressing patient concerns. Resolving and managing escalations with patients and families.
Manage office schedules and staffing
Adherence to HIPAA, OSHA and other regulatory requirements
Educate staff and medical providers to help achieve required quality improvement initiatives based on our affiliation with Boston Children’s Hospital and to prepare, evaluate and monitor requirements for the practice’s annual NCQA certification. Work with our Medical Home Care Coordination nurses to achieve the NCQA and hospital requirements and goals.
