Our downtown office is hiring and looking for a Flipper Floater Assistant who is able to converse fluently in Spanish. The Flipper Floater Assistant (bilingual preferred) will be responsible for general clinic administrative work and maintenance as well as completing lab work under the direction of the dentist. The flipper floater assistant’s primary responsibility is to prepare the examination rooms for appointments by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for the dentist. They also assist the dentist during their procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs throughout the appointment.
Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Updating and maintaining patients’ dental records in Dentrix software system
- Take and process X-rays
- Scheduling patient appointments
- Sterilizing instruments
- Keeping patients calm during procedures
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Should be fluent in Spanish and be able to converse, translate, interpret, provide assistance ensuring clear and accurate communication
- Knowledge of experience working with Dentrix software preferred
- Knowledge or x-ray certification preferred
- Knowledge of Dental terminology preferred
- Must possess excellent interpersonal relations skills and have the capability of relating to a variety of people and personalities
- Must possess a high level of flexibility and tolerance to adjustments/changes in work loads and assignments
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Must be available weekly Monday through Thursday.
