Want to be a part of a new Orthodontic practice in the Pell City area? Pell City Orthodontics is located within the Pediatric Dental Associates office. Dr. Brooks is looking for someone that has a positive attitude and cares for the overall well being of the patient by listening and understanding the patient’s needs to schedule them for the best care. The Orthodontic Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for patient scheduling, patient management, collecting fees and maintaining appearance and order of the orthodontic office. The Orthodontic Scheduling Coordinator must answer phone calls in a friendly and professional manner and ensure that voicemail is checked at the beginning of the day and throughout the day. Other responsibilities include returning calls and/or distribute messages to the appropriate team members in a timely manner.
Other duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
-Greet and welcome patients and parents.
-Update and maintain doctors schedule in scheduling system.
-Serve as back up scheduling coordinator to satellite locations.
-Gather and accurately record dental, medical, insurance, and HIPAA information from patients prior to treatment.
-Accurately scan patient information and other relevant records in Dolphin Management.
-Obtain and record insurance information on all patients in the system.
-Review and monitor AR (Accounts Receivable) reports and follow-up on any balance over 30 days.
-Collect patient portions and co-pays prior to initiation of treatment.
-Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Two years of experience in a Dental office and experience working with orthodontic management software (ie. Dolphin Management)
· Strong knowledge base of dental insurance & explanation of benefits preferred
· Must possess a high degree of interpersonal relations skills and capability of relating to a variety of people and personalities
· Must possess a high level of flexibility and tolerance to adjust to changes in work loads and assignments
· Valid driver’s license is required
Schedule:
Monday through Thursday (*Fridays as needed)
