We are looking for medical records coordinator/medical receptionist to help our transition to EHR. As our medical records coordinator and front desk receptionist at Pediatric Endocrine Associates, p.c., you will be the first point of contact for our patients and their families. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic towards diligence and commitment. This role is essential in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations within our medical practice.
Responsibilities
- Scanning in medical records and filing records in appropriate categories will be the primary day to day responsibility
- Preparing charts for patient visits
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar.
- Handle phone inquiries and provide accurate information regarding services.
- Collect patient information, patients payments and ensure accurate data entry into medical records systems.
- Assist with insurance verification and billing inquiries as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area to enhance patient experience.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient flow.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Proficient in using medical records systems or similar software applications
- Familiarity with medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and team members.
