Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
- Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth, Dentrix, or Epic for patient management.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Process medical collections and handle billing inquiries with professionalism.
- Assist in clerical duties including filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
- Communicate effectively with both English-speaking and bilingual patients to ensure understanding of services provided.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient flow within the clinic.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in phone systems and familiarity with electronic health record software (Athenahealth, Dentrix, Epic).
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and clerical skills.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse patient populations.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
