What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmic Assistant position at PEDIATRIC OPHTHALMOLOGY & STRABISMUS INC.?
A well-established Ophthalmology practice, specializing in pediatric care, exams for those with special needs, and adult strabismus care, is seeking Ophthalmic Assistants to support our busy clinic. An ideal candidate loves being around children, and can make an exam both fun and professional.
An ideal candidate is also detail-oriented, has strong multi-tasking capabilities, and can work in a fast-paced environment. An experienced candidate is preferred, however we may consider a strong candidate without Ophthalmology experience. Training is provided hands-on during the first two weeks of employment, followed by training support for the first 90 days.
Working hours are primarily Monday through Friday, daylight; with evening hours once per week. One can expect to work an estimated three Saturdays per year. Occasional travel to our other local offices can be expected.
