Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accountant I to join our team in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. The Accountant I will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and laws.
Responsibilities:
- Primary Duties: Payroll, Billing, account receivables, account payables, account reconciliation, financial and payroll analysis.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws
- Absolute confidentiality practices required of Ad Agency, Data, Secrets of the Trade, Owners' personal information.
- Prepare, maintain, and reconcile various financial and accounting records. Explain, observe, identify and problem solve office operations and procedures
- Verify and check files and data. Maintain neat and accurate files and records. Use sound judgment in recognizing scope of authority.
- Learn basic accounting principles and practices. Make mathematical calculations with speed and accuracy.
- Learn relevant local, State, and Federal laws, rules and regulations related to area of assignment.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Work with various cultural and ethnic groups in a tactful and effective manner. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Assist with budget preparation and forecasting
- Perform account reconciliations and analysis
- Assist with audits and other financial reviews
- Provide support to other departments as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, payroll systems ie. Paycor
