Pediatrics in Brevard is seeking compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant(s) to join our dynamic team. Full-time position, Monday – Friday, weekend rotations and travel to other PIB offices as needed. The ideal candidate will support physicians and nurses in delivering high-quality care to our patients, ensuring a positive experience for children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients (infants, children, and adolescents) for exams, take vital signs, measure height and weight, and assist in taking medical history.
- Administer vaccinations, perform basic lab tests (e.g., throat swabs, blood draws), and assist with procedures, always considering the child’s comfort and age-specific needs.
- Communicate effectively with children and their parents or guardians, explaining procedures, providing care instructions, and discussing preventative care.
- Handle scheduling, patient records, ensuring compliance with privacy and ethical standards in handling patient information.
- Maintain a sterile environment, sanitize equipment, and follow strict hygiene protocols.
- Adhere to confidentiality standards, HIPAA and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent required
- Degree in Medical Assisting or three (3) years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Must have knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Knowledge of inventory control.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
