Responsibilities
The People Operations Manager (POM) is responsible for providing daily guidance and support to their assigned Region/s and Departments. The POM must remain current on regulatory changes to ensure compliance with company policies, Federal, State, and local regulations. The POM will initiate and foster partnerships with all leaders in their assigned regions in support of the organization’s strategic objectives. The POM will apply analytical and strategic HR knowledge through creative solutions while implementing People Services initiatives and focusing on customer initiatives to achieve operational excellence.
Responsibilties:
- Successful management and oversight of employee relations and compliance concerns up to and including disciplinary action / involuntary terminations.
- Manage the HR functions during acquisitions and Organization Growth Initiatives (OGIs) through careful planning, coordination, and execution in collaboration with internal departments.
- Implement agile practices to enhance HR processes (i.e., performance management, retention, etc.).
- Conduct regular workforce planning and analysis through regular talent review.
- Conduct frequent talent reviews to assess the current workforce (i.e., skills, competencies, turnover, performance gaps, etc.).
- Manage organizational change by championing and ensuring human aspects of changes are addressed effectively.
- Formulate strategies and initiatives to bridge identified gaps and optimize talent usage (i.e. recruitment, training and development, restructuring, outsourcing, workforce reduction, and retention strategies, etc.).
- Collaboration with Talent Acquisition on hard to fill roles and recruitment efforts.
- Oversee and provide guidance to leadership and team members on leave process and procedures; while ensuring compliance with Company leave policy and Federal, State, and local regulations, as it relates to FMLA and ADA.
- Gather relevant data on current compensation practices, market trends, and leadership feedback. Analyze data to identify strengths and areas for improvement in collaboration with internal departments to provide findings and recommendations to best approach as aligned with organizational strategy.
Qualifications
Experience/Education:
- 7-10 years in HR role with progressive responsibilities
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- PHR, SHRM-CP or SPHR preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Exceptional employee relations experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong employee relations background required
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Strong knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Demonstrated experience in managing and prioritizing workload
- Multi-state experience strongly preferred
Software:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
