Pee Dee Professional Intervention Services, LLC is currently seeking immediate hires for Part-Time and Full-Time Early Interventionists to work in Columbia, Upstate, Lowcountry and the Pee Dee Counties! Early Interventionists will provide intensive developmental instruction and Service Coordination for parents, caregivers and their children with developmental delay. This is the idea job for someone looking for a flexible schedule and loves working with children and families.
Job Details:

- This position involves a high degree of autonomy.
- An Early Interventionist serves two roles- Special Instructor and Service Coordinator.
- As Special Instructors, we serve as a teacher. We use activity-based learning to teach parents how to use strategies/techniques to help their children meet developmental goals.
- The ideal candidate will enjoy researching activities that address a child's developmental skills- Communication, Fine Motor, Gross Motor, Self Help, etc. Through Service Coordination, we connect parents with services and resources that meet their needs and areas of concern.
- We provide an in-depth training program (shadowing, webinars, one-on-one training, etc) to enable our Early Interventionists to learn the tools of the trade.

- MUST have experience working with infants and toddlers under the age 3 years.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist the family in understanding the special needs of the child and enhancing the child's development.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities in the child's natural environment with the child and caregiver.
- Assist families in helping children reach developmental milestone.
- Perform home visits as outlined in treatment plans.
- Ensure that services outlined in the child's IFSP/FSP are rendered in accordance with current plan.
- Provide training, education, and support to families in the areas of child development, parenting, and family functioning.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote the development of the child.
- Monitor the progress of the child and family.
- Adhere to Pee Dee Professional Intervention Services policy and procedures, SCDDSN and BabyNet.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum requirements are a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Family & Consumer Science, or any related field, plus 1 year of documented experience reflected on your resume working with children birth to six years old. Prior early interventionist experience is preferred.
OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in ANY field and 5 years of documented experience with infants and toddlers OR children age birth to 3 years with disability
- Extensive skills working with children ages 0-3 years with disability.
- The ideal candidate should possess strong internal motivation, integrity, discipline, creative and organization skills.
- The ideal candidate should be able to write efficiently , communicate effectively , plan and a self starter

- Able to pass SLED and Fingerprint Background
- Able to pass Drug test
- Adult and Children CPR Certification will be required
- Infant and Toddler experience required
- Early Intervention: at least 1-2 years (Prefer)

Hybrid model:
- Works from home (telecommutes) to coordinate early intervention services and comply with early intervention duties.
- Travels to the natural environment of the client to conduct essential job functions.
- Must be willing to travel established territory and attend designated meetings as needed.
- Work required while sitting, standing, stooping, or bending.
- Requires occasional lifting to 20 lbs.
- Reliable vehicle (car) and would be able to obtain insurance coverage of 100/300/100 general liability

Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
